Gary Keating
Head PGA Golf Professional

Shell Point Golf Course is pleased to introduce our new Golf Course Manager, Gary Keating. With 20 years of experience, Gary brings an accomplished background in all aspects of the profession, from playing and touring to teaching and managing.

A Class A PGA Member since 1991, Gary was named the Southwest Florida PGA Player of the Year in 1996, 1997 and 1999. He also qualified and played in the 1995 and 1997 Honda Classic.

Gary was featured in several golfing magazines after he made four Eagles in one round of golf in the Powder Puff Pro-Am in 1991 - the first time this feat was recorded in the history of golf! A 16-time Challenge Cup competitor, he played on the European Tour for three years and is a record holder at 19 golf courses.

As a teacher, Gary worked with 15 touring professionals from PGA tour, Senior PGA tour, LPGA tour, the Canadian Tour and the European tour. He was named PGA Southwest Florida Chapter Teacher of the Year in 2001 and 2002.

Some Shell Point residents may fondly remember Gary as the pro at Kelly Greens from 1993 to 2006. Here, he plans to energize and expand tournament play among our membership, and he is focused on member satisfaction.

Evan Brodersen
Assistant Golf Professional

Evan Brodersen, Assistant Golf Professional at Shell Point Golf Club.  Evan is originally from Clinton, Iowa and was an Assistant Golf Professional at the Davenport Country Club for 2016, 2017 Seasons.  Evan turned Pro in 2016. He competed in the Iowa PGA section in 2016 finishing in 5th place in the Assistant Division and also Made it into the Monday Qualifier for the 2016 John Deere Classic.

In 2017 Evan placed 6th in the Assistant Division.  He moved to Fort Myers, Florida to pursue his dream of becoming a PGA member and someday becoming a Head Golf Professional. Evan is available for group and individual lessons of all skill levels, also is available for re-gripping and personal club fitting. Feel free to contact Evan at

Jonah Noble
Assistant Golf Professional

Jonah Noble is one of two Assistant Golf Professionals here at Shell Point Golf Club. Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Jonah started his golf career as an outside service attendant at a small public golf course located in Lynchburg, Virginia, where he attended college. After graduating college and moving to Naples, Florida, Jonah worked as a caddy at Tiburon Golf Club, where he caddied in several Pro-Am events, including The 2017 QBE Shootout, hosted by Tiburon Golf Club and the PGA Tour.

Jonah started as the Assistant Golf Professional at Shell Point Golf Club in January of 2018, where he enrolled in Level One of the PGA Professional Golf Management Program. Jonah is a certified Ping Club Fitter and Golf Pride Grip Fitter. He is available for individual lessons, group and playing lessons, club fitting and club repair.
